What I Learned from Personal Symptoms

Here are some patterns I recognized about myself and the symptoms I suffered with:

    Anger and Resentment: When I bottle up anger and resentment, my throat swells, similar to how it feels before a cold. If it persists, it can lead to what I call an “anger blister” (herpes on my lip or under my nose), and often culminates in a headache.

    Teeth Grinding: Teeth grinding at night, driven by unexpressed emotions and unreleased stress, causes extreme dizziness and headaches.

    Ignoring Rest and Sleep: Ignoring my need for rest and focusing solely on work and family life, while feeling only valuable if I’m helpful and productive, results in brain fog that eventually forces me to slow down.

    Feeling Stuck: Complaining about situations or people I feel treat me unfairly makes me obsess over the problem rather than focusing on solutions, which often leads to headaches and even toothaches.

    Sedentary Lifestyle: Spending excessive time working in front of a screen without engaging in physical activity results in neck, shoulder, and back pain, which eventually leads to headaches.

    Skipping Breakfast or Meals: Skipping meals and opting for two cups of coffee instead leaves me with a bloated belly, stomach cramps, and headaches.

    Dehydration: Not drinking enough water, often due to forgetfulness, leads to dry, flaky skin and sometimes a pounding headache.
